Privacy policy

What we collect
- Account details: your email address, the role you choose (owner, buyer or broker), trial and subscription status, and referral codes used.
- What you upload or enter: settlement statements and the figures in them (sales, stores, items, fees, credits), bank and card exports, helper payroll, loan details, route multiples, evaluations, notes and disputes.
- Payment details are handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment, not your full card number.
- Basic technical data: sign-in records, and the standard logs our hosting providers keep (such as IP address, browser type and errors) to secure and run the Service.
How we use it
- To provide the Service: read your files, calculate your numbers, and build the reports and exports you ask for.
- To run your account: sign-in emails, trial and billing, referral rewards, and support.
- To keep the Service secure and working, fix problems, and improve it.
- For anonymous benchmarks, only if you opt in (see below).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information or your data.
- We don't show your route's numbers to anyone else. Files and reports leave the Service only when you download or send them.
- We don't share your data with your distributor or any other company.
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Peer benchmarks
Benchmarks are off unless you turn them on. If you do, figures from your routes are combined with other participating owners into group statistics (such as medians). Results appear only when enough owners take part, and never show any one owner's, route's or store's numbers. Routes you are only evaluating are never included. You can turn benchmarks off at any time.
Who processes data for us
We use service providers to host the Service, store its database, send sign-in email and process payments (for example, Supabase for authentication and the database). They may process data only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. The database enforces access rules so each account can read only its own routes. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your email account secure and keep copies of your original statements.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: to keep you signed in, remember which route you're viewing, and hold a referral code until you sign up.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can ask us to export or delete your data or close your account by emailing support@routedough.com. We delete it from the live Service within 30 days of a deletion request; backups age out on their normal schedule. We may keep limited records we're required to keep, such as billing records.
Your choices and rights
You can view and correct most information in the app, turn benchmarks on or off, and request a copy or deletion of your data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under law; contact us to use them. We won't treat you differently for doing so.
Children
RouteDough.com is for adults running or buying a business and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we make material changes, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
